
August 9, 2024 - Due to weather concerns and in order to provide time for schools to be ready for Monday, August 12, 2024, ALL student orientation for 6th and 9th graders and Indian Land 5th and 7th graders has been canceled.
Open houses and other orientations have been canceled, and you will receive information from your child's school regarding rescheduling.
Lancaster County School District will be OPEN for normal operating hours for staff.

Lancaster County School District has been in contact with Emergency Management. Lancaster County is currently under a flood watch. Due to potential flooding and hazardous conditions caused by Tropical Storm Debby, as a safety precaution, ALL Lancaster County schools, buildings, and facilities will be closed on Thursday August 8, 2024. ALL events and activities are cancelled.
ALL open houses and orientations scheduled for August 8, 2024 are canceled and will be rescheduled.

Yearbooks have arrived!! Students may stop by AJ Wednesday or Thursday from 10am until 2pm to pick up.


Beginning this summer, LCSD will phase out our current email/call communication system, Blackboard Connect. It will be replaced with Apptegy Alerts. Be on the lookout for communication from this new system and do not "delete" or "unsubscribe." Remember, this communication is from the school and the district, and lots of important information is shared through this email/call system. We want to ensure you get updates this summer regarding information for the start of the 2024-2025 school year! Text messages will be received from 98900. These are weeklong summer programs designed to immerse students in a real, functioning government in the mythical State of Palmetto.
