School begins on Monday, August 12. Students in 4K and 5K will only attend school 2 days this week on their staggered entry dates. Each child’s teacher will make personal contact with each family regarding those days for 4K/5K Orientations at 8:00 the morning your student comes in. All first through fifth graders attend all days as regularly scheduled.
Open House has been rescheduled to Thursday, August 15 from 3 PM to 6 PM. You can drop in at any time during that period to meet your child’s teacher.
All students must have a new car tag this year. Please stop by the BSE office today before 3 PM or tomorrow, Saturday, August 10 from 9 AM to 12 PM to receive your car tags. You must have your ID when you pick up car tags.
Beginning of the year paperwork will be sent home on the first day of school. Please return this to your child’s teacher by the end of the first week.
Make sure your child’s teacher knows how they will get home from school each day. Students must be registered for the bus every year. Students who were not registered for the bus will not be eligible to ride the bus during the first few weeks of school, so make sure they are picked up in the car line between 2 and 2:30 each afternoon. Routes and times for bus stops will be posted on the district transportation site today after 2 PM. If you have not received an email, call, or other contact confirming that your student is registered, then it is likely bus registration was not completed.
Hello Parents! We hope everyone has been able to remain safe during this stormy weather. We hate that Open House had to be canceled for today. Tomorrow is a staff workday as we will reconvene and create a new plan for making up Open House and getting you all the needed information like transportation info, car tags, etc.
Tomorrow, we will send out a new date and time for Open House which will be held next week. 4K and 5K students will receive a call from their teacher tomorrow with information on their personal staggered entry dates and orientation times.

August 9, 2024 - Due to weather concerns and in order to provide time for schools to be ready for Monday, August 12, 2024, ALL student orientation for 6th and 9th graders and Indian Land 5th and 7th graders has been canceled.
Open houses and other orientations have been canceled, and you will receive information from your child's school regarding rescheduling.
Lancaster County School District will be OPEN for normal operating hours for staff.

Lancaster County School District has been in contact with Emergency Management. Lancaster County is currently under a flood watch. Due to potential flooding and hazardous conditions caused by Tropical Storm Debby, as a safety precaution, ALL Lancaster County schools, buildings, and facilities will be closed on Thursday August 8, 2024. ALL events and activities are cancelled.
ALL open houses and orientations scheduled for August 8, 2024 are canceled and will be rescheduled.
We are so excited for Open House tomorrow! Please join us during one of our sessions 10-12 or 5-7. We will have a coffee truck on site from 8-12 for purchases if you would like to make a purchase.
We will implement the clear bag policy. Only school supplies will be allowed to come into the building tomorrow.
The office at Brooklyn Springs will be open today, Tuesday, August 6 from 12:30 to 3:00 due to staff meetings and floor waxing in the main office building. Please ring the doorbell at the front and an office staff member will come to let you in the side door. The lobby will be unavailable due to waxing.

4K and 5K will be on staggered entry the first week of school. All students will only attend 1 day Monday-Thursday, and then every child will attend full-time beginning on Friday. Your teacher will share your child's assigned staggered day with you at Open House on August 8 from 10-12 or 5-7.
Brooklyn Springs will hold Open House for the 24-25 school year tomorrow, August 8 from 10-12 and 5-7. Please join us for one of our sessions. Lighthouse Coffee Truck will be on campus from 8-12 on this day for purchases if you prefer.

Hello BSE! Here is a quick summer update.
--Chromebooks may be dropped off at BSE if they need repairs on Monday or Tuesday of next week from 8:00-3:00.
--Adminstration will be at district meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. We will be getting all of the new "Back-to-School" information for the 24-25 school year. You can expect a message from me at the end of next week regarding when teacher assignments will be posted for you in Power School, Open House details, etc.
--The first day of school is August 12. I will also send out our updated Parent/Student Handbook before this date. We have several changes this year to policies and procedures that will be important for you all to read through before starting.
