USCL DE students- please see this important message from Mrs. Waller- please remember that you need to have 4 classes per semester for juniors and at least 3 for seniors. Also remember to speak to your ILHS counselor about all DE changes- every time.
"Please share with your students who are enrolled in first eight-week courses and have shared difficulties with the course. Today, before 5pm, students must have sent an email to me (Mrs. Waller) from their USC email address, requesting the withdrawal from the course. Any emails after 5pm, students will receive a WF, withdraw fail. Please encourage students to read their USC account emails daily."
Seniors- Thanks to the great feedback from the first round of college essays workshops, we will be holding 3 more that will specifically look at one of the three model applications each session. These models can be found in the resources on the College Essay Classroom Remember to sign up on Flex for October 1, 3, and/or 7- If you do not have classes on campus, you are allowed to come for Flex 2:08-2:39 p.m.

SOPHOMORES, your PSAT is coming up on October 23, 2024. Mark your calendar now for this date, and you will receive more detailed information at the beginning of October.
JUNIORS, if you are interested in registering for the PSAT October 23 as a qualifier for the National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test program, email Dr. McManus, stephanie.mcmanus@lcsd.k12.sc.us , the testing coordinator for ILHS. The deadline to request registration is September 20 at 5:00 p.m. There is a test fee of $18.00 required to take the National Merit test. Space is limited, so if you are interested, act quickly to secure a spot.
UPDATE: PSAT available slots for Juniors have been filled. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list, please email Dr. McManus, the testing coordinator for ILHS, to share that you are interested in being notified if a space becomes available. Notification may not occur until the morning of the PSAT on October 23 and we will take a first-come, first-served approach to filling any spots that open from the waiting list.
