Senior Students and Parents!
There will be a College Visit option for Seniors on Wednesday, October 23rd!! We are taking 50 seniors to UNC-Charlotte and Queen's University for a College Visit on that day. We will leave ILHS at 9:30AM from the bus loop to journey over to UNC-Charlotte. From there we will travel to Queens University. We will return to ILHS by 4:00PM.
We plan to have lunch at Queen's University Campus, so please bring lunch money! All students must complete the attached signed Field Trip Permission Form to get on the bus. Students will need to bring the signed permission slips to Mr. Austin and Ms. Eaddy on the morning of the 23rd. Students must sign up for the college visit through the sign up link at the bottom of this email.
As stated before we are only taking 50 seniors on the College Visit, all slots are first come, first serve! Seniors may also check their email for them to sign up. You may email Mr. Austin at john.austin@lcsd.k12.sc.us if you have any other questions! Have a great day!

Several big test options upcoming for different groups:
1- Sophomores (and registered juniors) will take the PSAT on October 23, 2024.
2- Juniors will take the ASVAB on October 23, 2024.
3- Seniors will have the opportunity to take a college or career exploration visit on October 23, 204. If a senior would like to take this day for a college or career visit, the parent must complete the Permission Form that is linked here: Senior College/Career Day Oct. 23, 2024 https://forms.gle/4NUrTjHi7sRiej5k9
4- Seniors who signed up for the SAT will take that test on October 24, 2024.

Check out the poster to understand what you need to do before graduation to be considered career ready. Assessments like the WIN or ASVAB are given at school during a particular grade, so you will be notified when it is your grade level's turn to take the tests
